The simple conficker test

The Conficker working group have seen the dawn, having members such as Microsoft, AOL, F-Secure, Kaspersky and Symantec. They have started this as a collaborative effort with technology industry leaders and academia to implement a coordinated, global approach to combating the Conficker worm. Check their simple Conficker test, that checks if your computer shows any signs of being infected with the Conficker trojan:

Ron Rivest might have mixed feelings these days. Conficker, the single largest threat to the internet community so far is using his baby, the new MD6 hash algorithm, his contribution to NIST’s SHA-3 contest.
